Introduction

I'll begin this with a little introduction concerning my experience with wine. I have had very little experience with wine but I've always been fascinated with the concept of wine in a wine glass and how 'cool' that looks.
Growing up, my family has been very religious and sometimes they would give me a tiny little bit that had been blessed. At that point, whatever kind it was tasted awful. With that one little tiny sip sometimes I was set on hating wine.
But then I started hanging out with a friend towards the end of last year. He had found a type of wine that's called Electra, it's from California. That about the extent I know about it but it's sold in Oklahoma as a red wine and also as a white wine. It's very good and both are sweet. He shared the red one with me and led to me being interested in wine following that encounter.
I turned 21 this last December and decided my big thing would be visiting a winery. The same friend said he would be down for joining me and ended up just taking me as a birthday gift. We visited the Canadian River place in Slaughterville, OK. I met another wine they make that I actually liked, Mascato is the name on the bottle.
I'm quite interested to see what else I can find along this journey as I've now walked into Cellar Wine and Spirits off of Main St in Norman. Very pretty and huge, full of wine. Since walking in that particular store I've wanted to explore wine's but I've been afraid I wouldn't like any. This is the perfect excuse for me to go ahead and start branching out.
Essentially, that is about the extent of my wine exposure and knowledge, but hopefully it will be more expansive by the end of this semester.
